About the Project
Instead of compromising between health and beauty, we created an apartment where the architecture itself supports cleanliness. Minimal dust, no visual clutter collectors, and carefully engineered systems make the interior easy to breathe in and easy to maintain.
Context
A family with two children suffering from allergies moved into a smaller apartment and feared they would have to sacrifice either health or aesthetics. They needed an interior without dust traps, triggering materials, or visual clutter, but still stylish, mature, and cozy rather than sterile or clinical.
Object and Task
A 140 m² new-build apartment in the Life Botanical Garden complex with high ceilings and an open plan. The task was to consider the allergies and needs of every family member while preserving depth, spaciousness, and a strong interior atmosphere.
Completed Works
A single furniture layout capable of meeting all family needs. Rejection of fabric sofas, upholstered headboards, rugs, non-woven wallpapers, battens, and overly active marble. Selection of low-maintenance, low-dust materials with an eco focus. Concealed doors and flush skirting. Ventilation and air-conditioning systems for continuous air purification. A kitchen visually dissolved into the common zone, inspired by the atmosphere of the kitchen in Nocturnal Animals. Work with a dark palette, 3.5 m ceilings, and panoramic windows so the interior stayed deep and sophisticated rather than heavy.
Result
The result is a home where clean living and strong aesthetics reinforce each other. The apartment feels composed and stately thanks to the dark palette, tall ceilings, and panoramic light, while remaining exceptionally gentle for a family managing allergies every day.
